Polzeath has the main surfing beach of the area, where the Atlantic rollers break over the sand and wash it clean twice a day, and the back of the beach is raked early every morning.

The beach has now won the prestigious blue flag award and has an excellent life guard team in attendance every day. It is a wonderful place for a family holiday, with rock pools along both sides for the young and not so young.

Wetsuits and surf boards of all shapes and sizes can be hired in the village and lessons for all levels of surfers are available.
